LABOR AND EMPLOYMENT

We provide our clients assistance in employment matters ranging from policy development and counseling to agency investigations and litigation. Our education, training and hands-on business management experience provides our clients and their employees a unique perspective on labor and employment disputes. Our efforts include working with management to develop programs and procedures to comply with federal and state law, assisting management with the implementation of those programs and procedures to reduce litigation exposure and resolving disputes both before and after claims have been filed. We have successfully assisted our clients before regulatory agencies and state and federal courts. We offer counseling and legal services related to a wide range of employment issues including gender discrimination and sexual harassment under Title VII, age discrimination under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), disability discrimination under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), benefit disputes under Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Veterans’ Rights under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), reductions in force, breach of employment contract, wrongful termination, public policy and covenants not to compete.
